Changing the SD card
The SD card should normally only be removed or
inserted while the MRS-8 is turned off. However, by
using the following procedure, the SD card can be
removed or inserted while the MRS-8 is on.
NOTE
If the SD card is changed without following the procedure
below and while the MRS-8 is on, data may be permanently
destroyed.
1.
From the main screen, press the [SYSTEM/
UTILITY] key in the display section.
The indication “SYSTEM PROJECT” appears on the
display.
2.
Use the cursor left/right keys to bring up
the indication “SYSTEM CARD” on the
display, and press the [ENTER] key.
The menu for various SD card functions appears.
3.
Verify that the indication “CARD
EXCHANGE” is shown on the display and
press the [ENTER] key.
If currently a SD card is inserted in the MRS-8, the
indication “CARD Exist” is shown.
While this screen is being shown, the SD card can be
changed.
4.
Replace the SD card.
For information on how to remove the SD card, see page
13. When the card is removed, the display indication
changes to “CARD NotExist”.
Depending on the type of SD card that was inserted,
operation changes as follows.
SD card not ready for use in MRS-8 was
inserted
The indication “FORMAT SURE?” appears on the
display. When you press the [ENTER] key at this point,
the SD card will be formatted (initialized) and the data of
all projects that were handled up to this point will be
saved on the card (except for audio data).
When the formatting and saving process is completed, the
main screen appears.
HINT
If you cancel the format by pressing the [EXIT] key, the
indication “CARD NotExist” appears again. In this case, the
unit operates as if no card were inserted.
SD card already formatted in MRS-8 was
inserted
The indication “LoadData <-ENT->” appears on the
display. When you press the [ENTER] key twice at this
point, the project with the lowest number stored on the
SD card will be loaded.
You can save all project data up to this point (except audio
data) on the new card. To do this, use the cursor left/right
keys when “LoadData” is displayed to bring up the
indication “SaveData” and press the [ENTER] key. In this
condition, you can select the copy target project number.
Turn the dial to select the number and press the [ENTER]
key twice. The data are saved, and then the project is
loaded.
