Effect Types and Parameters
In this section, all effect types and parameters of the modules in the 708II are explained.
(Parameters with the same name and function that are used in several effects are explained
only the first time.) The symbol indicates a parameter that is assigned to the expression
pedal and can be changed by moving the pedal (
p. 23). The symbols indicate
the parameters that can be controlled by parameter knobs 1 – 3 in play mode.
PICKUP SELECTOR Module
DRIVE Module
PICKUP
PS, AC
Adjusts the input sensitivity. For passive pickups, select
"PS". For active pickups and pickups with very high output,
select "AC".

TYPE 1
This module adjusts the input sensitivity for optimum matching with the type of pickup used by the electric bass. This
module has only one effect.
Vintage sound of a built-in tube amp.
Clean sound of a "flip-top" tube amp.
Clean sound of a tube amp with class A/B power stage.
High output British stack amp sound.
Bass amp sound with groove feeling for slap and tapping
style playing.
Sound of bass amp with aluminum cone speaker.
Bass amp sound for British rock.
Immensely popular tube stack amp sound.
Fuzz style drive amp sound.
* Parameters for TYPE 1 - 3 are the same.
GAIN
1 – 30
Adjusts signal input gain.
TONE
0 – 10
Adjusts tone.
LEVEL
1 – 8
Adjusts signal level after passing module.
Compressor with little tone variation.
Universal type compressor that suppresses level peaks for
uniformity.
* Parameters for LR-CMP and COMP are the same.
SENS

Adjusts compressor sensitivity.
TONE
0 – 10
LEVEL

Peak-suppressing limiter.
THRESH
1 – 30
Adjusts reference level for limiter operation.

This equalizer effect divides the signal into two bands
(high/low) and allows free adjustment of mixing balance.
HL-BAL

Adjusts mixing balance between high and low band.
FREQ
1– 10
Adjusts crossover frequency between high and low
frequency bands.
LEVEL
1 – 8
This is an 8-band equalizer. There are three pages with
parameters. Use the [EDIT] key to switch between pages.

or compact effect type, and the [DRIVE VARIATION] key allows choosing the tone or distortion variation.
