Press .

You can change how stereo ﬁ les are automatically named.

Use to select REC, and then press .

Use to select FILE NAME, and then

press .

Use to select, and then press .

NOTE

∙ File names are assigned in the following manner.

DEFAULT: ZOOM0001(MS).wav/mp3 ~ ZOOM9999(MS).wav/mp3

DATE: YYMMDD-HHMMSS(MS).wav/mp3

(for example, 110531-130512.wav)

∙ DATE uses the starting time of the recording.

∙ If a ﬁ le already exists with the same name in the folder, the

new file will have a number added to the end of its name.

Numbers will be added sequentially in the case of multiple

duplicates.

Pausing recording when adding marks

WAV format only

Press .

You can set the unit to pause when you add a mark during recording.

Use to select REC, and then press .

Use to select PLAY KEY FUNCTION, and

then press .

Use to select PAUSE AND MARK, and

then press .

NOTE

Marks cannot be added to MP3 ﬁ les, so this setting has

no effect when recording MP3 ﬁ les.
